Some amazing animals are waiting in our reptile house. Enter a world of huge snakes, boggle eyed chameleons, impressive iguanas, freaky looking frogs, massive snails, armoured turtles and tortoises and huge insects.
Heads up!
Above your head march an army of leaf cutter ants harvesting leaves that are composted to grow the special type of fungus that keeps the colony alive. It really is an education and we have handling sessions throughout the day that will delight and amaze children and adults alike.
So much to learn
Find out all about poison dart frogs and how they are used to create poisonous arrows for South American hunters or discover how a Hermit Crab swops homes as he grows. There’s so much to see and learn! Even our handwashing facilities offer a fascinating view into the underwater world of brightly coloured tropical fish.
