WE’VE just released some top tips for school groups on how to follow up on your farm visit and bring it into the classroom.
With loads on offer – including a guided tour, indoor lunch area, small animal petting, milking demonstrations and the super exciting sheep and ferret racing – we can make your school trip one to remember.
We welcome over 20,000 school children each year and pride ourselves on being one of the region’s top educational attractions – come during lambing season now and take some tips from our friends at Countryside Classroom to work on curriculum topics like
* Practising spelling unusual words you encounter and find fun ways to use it for an English session
* Lambing makes the perfect art project – you could do an art class making cotton wool sheep
* And for maths how about counting up the numbers of singles, triplets and twin lambs you saw?
We hope to see ewe all again soon (see what we did there?!)
