A FAMILY-RUN farm is celebrating a double award win thanks to a customer vote on a popular parenting site.

Days Out With The Kids run a prestigious competition every year where they ask members of the public to vote for their favourites.

This year, Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, South Yorkshire scooped two awards – Best for Little Kids and Best Animal Attraction.

Director Robert Nicholson – whose family opened the farm up to the public in 1989 – said: “This really means a lot to us. It’s fantastic recognition to win any award but to win one that is voted for by members of the public is really, really special.

“We are so grateful to everyone who voted for us and hope we can continue to help make many happy memories for lots more families in the years to come.”

The farm is now gearing up for its popular winter season which sees it run a series of popular festive events – including meals with Santa and an Elves Workshop where children make a toy on the production line.
