OUR SKILLED butchery team are marking National Butcher’s Week with an awareness event especially for our customers.
The event – which runs until March 19 – aims to highlight the skills of traditional butchery and give customers the confidence to ask for advice.
Our butcher Paul said part of the job is cutting joints of meat exactly how customers require them. He added: “People don’t have to feel that if its not in a pre-pack it’s not available. Our job is to prepare the order to best suit the customer.
“In our farm shop you can ask for advice if you aren’t sure how big you need an item, and we will be happy to advise – or even if you aren’t sure which cut is best for what you have in mind. That’s what we are here for.”
Cannon Hall Farm Shop has over 20 different types of hand-made sausage in the counter from traditional pork to Sicilian Basil & Oregano, or Pork with Caramelised Onion.
